Flea Infestations
Pet owners often have trouble with getting rid of annoying fleas. These little insects feed on the blood of our animals and can spread disease and lay eggs in their fur. Fleas latch onto your pets skin with their teeth and proceed to suck their blood, which they live on. They then lay eggs on your pets fur. Of course, these eggs hatch and even more fleas live on and around the animal, often causing an all-out flea epidemic in a single home.
Getting Rid of Fleas
Getting rid of fleas usually proves to be very difficult. They are unbelievable resilient to death. To prove this to yourself, try smashing a flea with your fingers to kill it. In most cases, the flea will simply jump off of your fingers as soon as you let up the pressure. Fleas also cause itching on both animals and humans, so their presence can be very annoying. On the other hand, you won't have them around long before you notice them and can then do something about them. But how do you get rid of fleas?
Flea Eggs
Flea eggs can hatch in your animals fur or they sometimes fall off of the animal and onto sheets, clothes, and carpet where they hatch. This means that when you are trying to get rid of fleas, you need to treat everything in your home. Wash the sheets, pour anti-flea powder on the carpet and vacuum it up, wash your clothes, bomb the house with anti-flea poison, and so on.
Flea Collars, etc.
Flea prevention can be as simple as putting a flea collar on your animal and rubbing anti-flea medicine into their fur and skin that repels fleas.
